About GG PH AiR
GlobalGRACE Philippines Artists-in-Residence (GG PH AiR) is a three-month remote residency program for entry-level artists in the LGBTQIA+ community of Laguna. The residency was done online and focused on interdisciplinary art practices exploring queer sites, identity, embodiment, and belonging (or lack thereof) within the restrictions and the unexpected creative spaces and moments during the pandemic. Fifteen (15) artists were guided by six (6) LGBTQIA+ art practitioners who are experts in their respective fields. GlobalGRACE Philippines AiR is one of the projects of Work Package 4: Making Life Lovable: Digital and Literary Productions of Cultures of Equality Among young LGBTQIA+ in the Philippines. The residency was made possible with YMCA RINALI of Laguna, GlobalGRACE Philippines, GlobalGRACE: Global Gender and Cultures of Equality funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), and Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF).
