Life and Practice

Irma Lacorte is a visual artist based in Dumaguete City. In addition to her solo shows, she participates as an exhibiting artist in curated group exhibitions such as the Visayas Islands Visual Arts Exhibition and Conference (VIVA ExCon) in Bacolod City (2014) and in Iloilo City (2016), PROMDI back-to-back exhibitions in the Cultural Center of the Philippines and National Commission on Culture and the Arts in Manila (2016). Lacorte is a two-time recipient of the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship Grant (2003, 2016). She earned her Master in Fine Arts (MFA) degree in the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2012. Irma Lacorte has been cited in the Visual Arts volume of the Philippines Encyclopedia for the Arts (2nd edition, 2018), published by the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
